AHAD FAMILY EDUCATION FUND

Al-Hajj Jalal Uddin Ahmad dedicated his life to education. In his early life as a teacher, he established Kamal Ataturk High School in Daganbhuyan, Bangladesh. Subsequently he moved to Feni and became Head Master of Feni High School, where he taught for almost 40 years. He was awarded numerous national awards for his dedication to, and achievements in, education. To this day thousands of his students are in established positions both in Bangladesh and overseas.

In retirement, Al-Hajj Jalal Uddin Ahmad spent his limited financial resources to educate talented students, particularly those whose educational options were limited by their means. The Ahad Family Education Fund is inspired by the life of Al-Hajj Jalal Uddin Ahmad, and is dedicated to his memory and continuing his legacy of universal and accessible education.

I am Pooja Roy, deeply grateful for the consistent support I received from the Ahad Family Education Fund during my pursuit of a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the University of Dhaka. Completing my degree in 2023 with a CGPA of 3.78 out of 4 was made possible through their generous scholarship, which alleviated financial burdens and enabled me to focus on my studies without worry. I am Shayma Azmi Nishu, an intern doctor at Jashore Medical College Hospital. When my mother was suffering from colon cancer, I felt lost and helpless due to my lack of knowledge about the prognosis, its treatment, and the future. This experience motivated me to become a doctor. However, after getting admitted to medical school, I faced difficulties continuing my studies. During this challenging time, the Ahad Family Foundation supported me both financially and emotionally, helping me achieve my dream. I will always remember their kindness and support. Yet, amidst these tangible necessities, we often overlook the profound importance of something less concrete: dreams. I, Shuvro Sen, had completed my graduation and post-graduation from the University of Dhaka with the support of the Ahad Family Education Fund scholarship from 2012 to 2015. After completing my studies, I was employed at BRAC University as a Research Associate until August 2021. From the beginning of my academic journey, I have always dreamt of pursuing higher studies in Europe or America. I am happy to share with you that my dream has finally become true. I have been awarded the Erasmus Mundus Scholarship for the 2021/22 cohort. My intended program is Transition, Innovation, and Sustainability Environments (TISE), which is hosted by four countries i.e., Portugal, Ireland, Poland, and Austria. I will complete four semesters in these four countries respectively. I am very grateful to you for your kind support during my previous educations. When I received the scholarship, I was extremely happy and thanked almighty Allah that he helped me to complete my studies and I thank the Ahad Family Education Fund, which gave me the opportunity. I am Athana Biswas, I am an Economics graduate. In the year 2008 my father died suddenly when I just started my undergraduate program at the university. Being a student at North South University it was really hard for my family to bear my educational expenses. My elder sister was the only earning member in the family. Then I heard about Ahad Foundation and their activities from a reliable source. I applied to the Ahad Foundation for a scholarship to complete my studies properly. The Ahad Foundation provided me with a scholarship to pay my tution fees. It would not have been possible for me to complete my graduation program without the help of Ahad Foundation. I am thankful to the Ahad Family Education Fund for giving me the financial help to continue my study. I am Rezoana Chowdhury Sharmy. Recently, I have successfully passed HSC examination wtih GPA 5. I and my family are very much pleased with the result. This year there was a great adversity on the glorious melody of results. But, I was able to achieve a sensational result. However, this wouldn’t be possible without getting right directions from a renowned college and coaching centres. Ahad Family Education Fund has given me this opportunity to cover my collage and coaching expenses. Unfortunately, my father passed away four years ago and was the only earning member of our family. Therefore, I was very anxious about my study and my future. But, this organization has helped me to go one step ahead. It has given me the spirits to cross next levels. It has opened the door of enlightened future and helped to make my dream come true. After passing SSC exam with an A+, everyone told me that HSC won’t be as easy as you might think. It will be difficult to achieve good results in the HSC exam. After joining college, I found it very complicated. But, when I got the opportunity to study in different coaching centres with the help of this organisation, I started sewing the dreams in my mind. Slowly, I realised that I was stepping forward to reach my goal. Today, my family is also expecting a lot from me as I’m heading towards a bright future. From my childhood, I always wanted to be a doctor. Help the helpless and hopeless people. My dream is eagerly waiting to become true. My confidence level has doubled by getting double A+ in the two board exams. For my achievement in HSC examination, all the credit goes to Ahad Family Education Fund. It has given me inspirations by its sweet and kind of giving scholarships to reach the highest peak of success.
